About Us Self Financing Scheme - 2020-2021

Application for Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Pharmacy, MBBS & BDS under Self-Financing Scheme for the academic year 2020-21


Applications are invited for nominations to undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Pharmacy, MBBS & BDS under Self-Financing Scheme for the academic year 2020-21 by Government of India.

2. Kindly note that the students are required to appear (Registration Link: https://ntaneet.nic.in/ntaneet/Registration/Instruction.aspx) in National Eligibility-cum -Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by NTA for admission in MBBS/ BDS UG courses in India.

3. The applicants who possess the minimum qualifications as given below, are required to submit the dully filled-in application form in all respect, supported by the following documents in triplicate (with authentic English translations, wherever required) to the High Commission of India, Lilongwe (Area 99, Plot 55, Lilongwe):

(i) Three copies of applicant’s recent photographs duly attested by the High Commission pasted at prescribed places in the application;

(ii) Three attested copies of applicant’s certificates and marks sheets with percentage of marks of the qualifying examination (A certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi that the candidate’s qualifying examination is equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India for the purpose of admission to BE /B Pharmacy/MBBS/ BDS must be enclosed. (iii) Three attested copies of candidate’s:
  • first four pages of the passport;citizenship certificate;

  • citizenship certificate;

  • birth certificate;

  • character certificate from the Head of Institution last attended;

  • NEET-UG 2019 Score (for medical seats)


5. Eligibility criteria:

MBBS/ BDS:
  • Applicant must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) separately and 50% in English in the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India - equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

  • National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET) - It shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum of marks at 50th percentile in NEET.


BE / B Tech:
  • Applicant must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately and 50% in English in the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India - equivalence certificate from AIU, New Delhi.


B Pharmacy:
  • Applicant must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) separately and 50% in English in the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India - equivalence certificate from AIU, New Delhi


B Arch:
  • Applicant applying for B. Arch course is required to pass the Aptitude Test as prescribed by Council of Architecture. Candidate who does not pass the Aptitude Test will not be eligible for award of enrolment by Council of Architecture, New Delhi.


6. Last date for receipt of applications in the prescribed proforma in the High Commission of India, Lilongwe is 20.06.2020.


7. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, exams/results of 12th year may not be completed/obtained by 30 June 2020. Applicant can also apply for nomination with pending final declaration of his/her qualifying examination results equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE. Nomination of such applicant will, however, depend upon his/her being eligible on the basis of merit. Marks obtained in 12th year may be provided to us latest by 10 July 2020. NEET exams have been scheduled for 26 July 2020. Score obtained in NEET should be provided to us as soon as they are obtained.


8. Marks obtained in 11th standard examination should not be taken into consideration while computing marks obtained in 12th year of examination. It may also kindly be ensured that percentage of marks mentioned in the application forms are clearly indicated as such and not given in grades like A, B, C, D, E, etc. If grades are unavoidable, the marks obtained in percentages should be indicated invariably in brackets. Students having PIO, OCI card and NRIs are not eligible to apply for Self Financing Scheme.


9. Applicant may please note that merely forwarding their applications should not be treated as assurance for their nomination by the competent authority. The competent authority will scrutinize all the applications and only after these are found complete in all respects, the names of the eligible applicants on the basis of eligibility criteria of marks in Grade 12th & NEET will be considered for nomination in the order of merit and preference for the course.


10. Candidates applying for BE / B Pharmacy seats would be selected by the competent authority on the basis of academic merit. Selection for candidates for admission in MBBS / BDS will be purely on merit based on the scores obtained by the candidates in NEET-UG 2020.


11. Selected candidates are expected to comply with admission formalities, fee structures and procedures of the respective colleges/universities. These may include specific medical examinations including Aids test in India.

13. It may please be noted admission under this scheme is purely on Self-Financing basis and Government of India does not provide any financial aid/scholarships to students selected under above Scheme. The details of the fee may be checked on Institute’s website.
