Third Voice of Global South Summit

Malawi joined countries of Global South in the “ Third Voice of Global South Summit” hosted by India virtually on 17 August, 2024. Hon. Mr. Uchizi Mkandawire, M.P., Minister of Youth & Sports and Ms. Christina Zakeyo, Secretary for Trade and Industry participated in the Youth and Trade sessions respectively. 

2. The “Third Voice of Global South Summit” under the theme "An Empowered Global South for a Sustainable Future” envisaged in bringing together countries of the Global South to share their perspectives and priorities on a common platform. The Summit included ten Ministerial sessions in key sectors besides opening and concluding sessions at Head of State/Head of Government level hosted by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Summit witnessed participation of 173 dignitaries from 123 countries across the Global South.
