PUBLIC NOTICE

The High Commission of India, Lilongwe will be accepting only online applications of registration of birth of a minor child as Indian Citizen with immediate effect. No hand-written applications for birth registration will be accepted hereafter. Applicants are required to apply online Indian Citizenship for Foreigners through the MHA’s website link https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in/Ic_Form_Public.aspx and fill all details therein. This link would also be available on our website (www.hcililongwe.in). The applicant also needs to upload photo of Minor Child, signatures of parents in JPEG format and following documents in PDF format: Birth Certificate, Parent’s Passports, Marriage Certificate and other supporting documents. After the applicant submits the complete online application, the hard copy is required to be submitted to the High Commission along with three photographs and copies of all other supporting documents. Steps for applying online registration of birth of a Minor Child at Indian Mission

Select/Click Respective Registration

Click on Apply Online button to go to Form details

Fill Applicant’s, Father’s and Mother’s Details

Click Save & Next

Please Note down Temporary ID & Click on Continue

Upload Applicant Photo and Parent’s signature

Click View Application & Modify Application (if needed)

Click Final Submit to the Ministry

Please note down MHA File Number

Click on Print Application button to take print out

Please upload supporting documents before submission to the Mission

After printing the application, paste applicant’s passport size photograph on the printed application and submit it to the High Commission with two passport size photographs and copies of other relative documents (Please bring original documents for verification) between 0900hrs and 1100hrs on working days (Monday to Friday).
